The Ti800.4 (MSRP $649.99) is a four-channel, class A/B amplifier. If features overbuilt dual unregulated power supplies, hand-wound power supply transformers, low ESR rail voltage capacitors and audiophile bi-polar output transistors, among other features.

The Ti2500.1 (MSRP $1099.99) is a mono-block, class D, high-end amplifier, Phoenix Gold stated. The Ti2500.1 includes such design features as overbuilt unregulated power supplies with hand-wound transformers, an isolated preamp section, aluminum shaft potentiometers and crossovers with 41 detentes for exact frequency selection.

Stats for the Ti2500.1 are as follows:
  • Power Rating 2,500 watts x 1 channel / 1 ohm; 1,500 watts x 1 channel / 2 ohms;
  • Low Pass Range 30Hz to 300Hz; Low Pass Slope 24dB/Octave;
  • Subsonic Range 10Hz to 55Hz; Subsonic Slope 24dB/Octave;

We sell'em and so far, I like'em. As you know, Phoenix Gold underwent a dark period after the sale of the company - the name was whored out by some investment group that simply badged the name to poor quality Chinese built product. AAMP of America purchased them a few years ago, brought in one of the legacy guys from the original PG Arizona days and has proceeded in rebuilding the line and company. They are using one of the best build houses out there, which is in South Korea - and have been Johnny on the spot about making improvements and addressing any concerns.

I like to see companies returning to the fundamentals - just making good product.
