which amp ?

hi

just been giving a amp today . to try and get my system workin correct Im Running 1 x AW1251T ( 12" 400w Max - 800W RMS )

ive got the choice of 2 amps ???

ive got a

kenwood kac-6203 600w Max

or

Juice JA1200D 1200W Max


Both 2 Channel


Which 1 will handle my sub better ?

a 2 channel amp is not a good match for your dual 4ohm sub because your sub will be wired at a final impedance of 2ohms. That Kenwood amp is not stable at 2 ohms bridged.

The Juice amp is extremely over rated power wise, but since it is a monoblock and stable to 2 ohms it would be your only option of those 2.

the audiobahn is only wired as 2ohms .. just a pos and negative wired .... not wired on the sub as 4 ohns ... but been told the kenwood is better than the juiced by th guys on TalkAudio ??? who do i believe ???

does your sub have dual voice coils?

it can be wired as 4ohms but i havnt bothered . been apicked a jbl gt4 up

If it is a dual 4 ohm sub, you cannot wire it with a final 4 ohm load for a single sub. You can only wire it to either 2 ohms or 8 ohms.

oh sorry its wired at 2ohns but its a dual 4ohn sub . but im not using it no more ... im using a JBL GT4
