Really newbie question, wiring sub up

Basically bought a car with a sony HU and wiring already installed, so I went out and bought a sub and enclosure, basically it's just a newbie question on how to wire it up. Bear in mind I don't have an amp.

Where do these wires go in this picture:

Those wires go in your amp, you can't have a sub without an amp, its impossible...

unless your sub is 22 watts rms, lol!

What amp would you recommend for this sub then?

well, its a 2ohm DVC, which means you'll either have 4 ohms in series or 1 ohm in parallel. Amps that can handle 1 ohm are rare to my knowledge, and 4ohms is the most common. so any amp that'll dish out 500 watts rms at 4ohms would be perfect, but pricey. whats your price range?

Actually, you could wire a sub to the speaker outputs of your HU no problem, but it just wouldn't get loud enough to satisfy most people.

nicely chosen jethro, very moderately priced and can support 1ohm and the exact rms rating your sub handles, very nice pick, props!
