Build a New Audio Power Amplifier

Hello~all
I want to make an audio power amplifier for my home sound system. Recently I am finding information about find what circuit and what electronic is helpful for my project from internet or libraries.I have to stress that I have never made a successful audio amplifier before. So I am here to ask someone experiences or suggestions.
I have found an audio power amplifier which said that it is suitable for moderate power application in most of home sound system by using transistors-- 2N3055 and MJE2055 in final.
I want to ask the following questions:
1).How to see “the configuration with TIP42A make the whole combination of TIP42A and MJE2055” ?
2).Does this circuit has lower distortion ?
3).Has anyone made this audio power amplifier successfully? How about the result?
If you could give me some helpful advice or ideas, I will be appreciated !
