Ported box for pioneer premier spl

Hello,
I have Pioneer Premier 3004SPL. I just wondering what would be the best ported box design for him. Pioneer recommended enclosure 0.85 ~ 1.75 cubic feet for this speaker. Pioneer Manual
Thanks for your help in advance!

I'd probably shoot for 1.5 cuft. Part of it depends on how much power you intend to use and where you plan to tune. If you can return the sub, there are much better choices out there due to the Pioneer's lack of throw for such a high powered sub. The Pioneer has around 11mm xmax vs twice that from most 1kw subs.
