Looking for some SQL 12s

Hey guys, I'm looking for some 12s for a new build in a f250 xcab. I have abou 8^3ft to work with. I will be removing the back seat I don't use it. I will be running them off of a Zapco st-1650xm ll. I have a set of Boston acoustics SPZ60s for my fronts running off about 230w per side. I will run them ported. Looking for something with good SQ, pure out put is not my main concern but I don't want a pure SQ driver either. Budget is about $600-$700. Thanks for your time

A pair of IDMax would be nice (if you want to stretch the budget a bit), as would several other choices.

Thanks for the reply basic. I want to run 2 12s so the budget is for 2 subs. Unless you think I don't have the power to run 2 then I guess I could ruin 1 15 but I would prefer 2 12s. I have had an idmax 12 before and really liked it but I'm under the understanding that work better sealed. Also I have read several times that the surround is know to make noise and being that the subs will be right behind my head I don't want to risk that. Thanks for the suggestions

The SSA, Incriminator and Fi woofers linked are known to sound great and get decently loud, with some under/at/slightly over budget depending on model.

JBL GTi's are discontinued- not too long ago there were a few around, but now appear to be all gone...a pair of those would have been nice .

White the GT5 is a good sub for the money, the ones I was referring to were pretty awesome:

Gobs of "SQ" with a good dose of "L" thrown in

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CDT-AUDIO-HD...dRfuq6&vxp=mtr
could do 4 of these sealed w/ 4lbs polyfill.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/IMAGE-DYNAMI...cHqnvnW_Shy9sw
or 4 of these in 4ft3 sealed.

Nice option for an under seat enclosure.

great ported option that's very affordable

Hey guys thanks for the reply. I would love to get my hands on a pair of the JBLs I've heard nothing but good things about them. neillio came up with some great options as well. Running four 12s sealed is very tempting but I think I want to go ported. Right now my short list is FI ssd, SSA Gcon, or Incriminate audio Leathal injection . Does anyone have any of these speakers that could tell me how they perform in the real world.

The reviews on SSA's site are pretty realistic. Forum member denim owns SSA and stops by here pretty regularly.

I've had some nice SQ subs, and if I were in the market right now those are the brands I'd be most enthused about trying when you factor in the "under $700" budget, and those choices are all a pretty safe bet. A single D2 version of those woofers in 15" would be very nice as well.

The Sundown SA-12v.3 is a very nice low distortion subwoofer that handles 750wrms easily. Great thing is, a pair of 12's can go in 3.4-3.6ft3 net @ 34/35hz.

I second the Image Dynamics MAX sub. Very clean musical sounding sub with lots of output.

Well after more research I think I'm going to go the single 15" route. Mainly for power handiling. So now I'm looking at the SSA ICON or the Ascendant Audio Havoc. The Havoc has 30mm of xmax compared to 21mm for the Icon. Will this play a big actor in output?

Thanks Nellio. Most of those seem to want more power then I have available. The reason for switching to 1 15" is because it well require less power then 2 12s. The ones I listed as well as the incriminator Audio death row make up the short list. I have a 10" icon and like it very much but I wouldn't mind trying something new. So I guess I have a little more research todo. Thanks for everyone's help if anyone has any other info to add please do

http://aespeakers.com/shop/td/td15x/

^^ efficient 15" subwoofers that are true SQL. Only need 500-750wrms.

If it were me...I'd just do a single 12" and this would be the driver: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Diamond-Audi...0AAOSwImRYIOBg
Diamond D9/TDX was a fantastic sounding subwoofer ported. Great design and power range was 900-1200wrms.
