Less Opinion is on a distinguished road



High end No frills tuner cd manufacturer ?

Are there companys that still make a high end Receiver, Tuner, pre amp, cd with out any garbage No amps, Bluetooth, USB, nav. etc. Just high end audio period.

Unfortunately, not so much available brand new/current (though you might find some JDM stuff if you don't care about the tuner).

^^ for a dedicated "SQ" head unit, these are pretty nice. Has a built-in amplifier, but if you are using pre-outs to feed signal to outboard amplifiers not an issue.

Both those Pioneers are pretty good units.

That Pioneer unit is really nice, Sony just came out with a really high end unit. Hoping its as good as the old ES products they made.

You are probably going to have to look at an older unit. If you haven't already found one, check out the Eclipse 55040, 55060, or 55090. These are quite excellent head units. No power, 8 volt preamp outputs, and they look sharp.

You can also look at the Eclipse CD8051, CD8052, CD8061, or CD8053 as well. These will have a few (to a lot more) features that the ones I suggested earlier.

All of these do appear on Ebay from time to time.
