WTS netbook

buddy gave me a betbook, toshiba libretto u100, wants me to reformat it.

thing doesn't have a cd drive. how do i get around that little problem? are these things set to take USB installs, external dvd drives, or is there something in the bios i gotta work with ?

also, wts != want to sell...it's 'what the sh*t'

you can use a usb cd/dvd rom drive to load windows. i have done it on the marine pc's at work. all you need to do, is go into the bios and tell it to load from the usb drive first, before loading from the hardrive. pop the disc in the drive, reboot, and bob's yer uncle

on my acer it has system recovery built in. you hit like alt shift f10 durring start up i cant remember if that the exact one but its kinda like that or i can go to star programs and like acer emanagement and it does it all for you

Buy an external DVD drive or burner. I bought my wife one of those netbooks, and we found that is really the best route because if you buy any programs or opt to burn discs or whatever you simply need a drive. I already had the external for burning films and CDs so it was no big issue for me. But you can get drives super cheap. It would definitely be a worthwhile purchase for a netbook user.
