stranded wire verses solid

With hooking up an amp -/+ why do you have to use stranded wire over solid ?

In there are are few reasons first stranded wire is easy to bend. Second in laymans term is the way copper wire conducts electricity the outside of each strand is how the electrons that make up the wire move to get the electricity from the battery to the amp so the more surface area of wire the more electrons moveing the more power this idea relates more to DC amperage the wire can carry
This is a real simple explaination and there is a lot more to this as how long a run the wire the voltage it will carry. But if you intend to use household type wire like say 4 wire 12 ga. Romex don't do it as it needs to be oil gas resistant use the right car audio wire
